Hamblen County, Tennessee – The Hamblen County Sheriff’s Office is urgently seeking the public’s assistance in locating 17-year-old Alexis Nicole Howell, who has been missing since the evening of August 15, 2024. Alexis was last seen around 8:00 p.m. walking in the vicinity of Northview Drive in Hamblen County. She was wearing black jeans, a t-shirt, brown cowboy boots with turquoise stitching, and carrying a black bag with pink stitching.
The community has rallied on social media, expressing their concern and sharing prayers for her safe return. Renee Henderson posted, "FATHER MOST HIGH, yet again, another child has gone missing. Could this be another one angry about parental rules? Could she possibly be dissatisfied with her perception of herself thinking she was not pretty enough, smart enough, popular enough?" Sheila Taylor also shared, "Prayers to be found safe and returned home," while Linda Grant simply offered, "🙏 for her safe return."
The Hamblen County Sheriff’s Office urges anyone with information on Alexis’s whereabouts to contact Detective Sgt. Pam Taylor at (423) 585-2776. The search efforts are being supported by organizations such as The AWARE Foundation, Inc., and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.
