Urgent Search Underway in Copperas Cove, Texas, for Missing Woman Kimberly Talavera

Copperas Cove, TX – The community is rallying to find Kimberly Talavera, who went missing on August 8, 2024. Kimberly, also known as Kimmy Diaz on Facebook, left her home around 5 p.m. and has not been seen since. She was last spotted in the parking lot of the Gold’s Gym in Copperas Cove, where she had dropped off her mother’s car. Kimberly is approximately 5’8", heavy set, and was wearing a black top and black yoga pants at the time of her disappearance.

Kimberly’s mother, Marcey Gaitan, is desperately seeking any information about her daughter’s whereabouts. She mentioned that Kimberly suffers from mental health issues and was experiencing a difficult time on the day she went missing. The family is working with the gym to obtain security footage in hopes of determining which direction Kimberly went after leaving the parking lot.

Marcey Gaitan took to social media to share her plea for help. "Our hearts are broken, so any help is truly appreciated," she wrote. The Copperas Cove Police Department is involved in the search, and anyone with information is urged to contact them at 254-547-8222.

The community has responded with an outpouring of support. Heather Bowen shared on Facebook, "Iā€™m so sorry!! Praying for her safe return!!" while Carol Eskew echoed, "Praying she is found safe."

Despite the ongoing efforts, there have been no significant leads, and the family remains hopeful yet deeply concerned. The urgency to find Kimberly Talavera is growing as more time passes, and the community continues to share her story in hopes of bringing her home safely.
