Valletta, Malta – The community is mourning the loss of Martin Borg, a respected teacher from St. Elias College, who passed away on the night of August 20th, 2024. Martin Borg was 62 years old and was a cherished member of the Is-Swatar neighborhood. Known for his passion for education and history, Martin’s passing has deeply affected his family, friends, and the many students whose lives he touched.
Martin’s son, Niki Borg, expressed the family’s sorrow in a heartfelt post, saying, "It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Martin Borg, last night. The funeral will be held on Saturday 24th August 2024 at 9:30 am at Balluta Parish Church."
Friends and family have been expressing their condolences on social media. Niki Borg received messages of support, including from Mal Miz-Gamboa, who simply said, "Condolences Niki," and Rebecca Falzon Vasic, who shared, "I am so sorry for your loss.
