Victoria, BC – The Victoria community is grappling with the tragic news of the death of Mark Thomson, a beloved Stelly’s Secondary School alumnus. Mark was found deceased after being reported missing on August 9, 2024, last seen in the Langford area. His disappearance sparked widespread concern among family and friends, leading to an extensive search effort.

Mark, known for his active lifestyle and close-knit relationships within the community, was last tracked to the French Beach area. Data from his Tesla app indicated that his vehicle was near the area at 6:20 p.m. on August 9, with the last signal received at 7:55 p.m., showing a 74% battery level. His failure to report to work the following Monday raised alarms, prompting immediate action from his loved ones.

In response to his disappearance, the community rallied, sharing information and offering support. The search efforts reflected the deep concern and affection the community held for Mark. Lisa Bradley, a spokesperson for the Thomson family, expressed their gratitude, stating, “The Thomson family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the many community members who reached out with information and for the expressions of support this past day.”
