Victoria McDonald, Missing 47-Year-Old Woman with Dementia, Safely Located in North Holden

Holden, Louisiana – The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office (LPSO) has confirmed that 47-year-old Victoria McDonald, who had been reported missing earlier today, has been safely located. McDonald, who is living with dementia, was last seen near her home along Highway 442 in North Holden, prompting a search by local authorities.

Victoria McDonald was last seen this morning wearing blue jean shorts and a tank top of an unknown color. Her family, deeply concerned due to her condition, reported her missing, leading to an immediate response from the LPSO.

The Sheriff’s Office had alerted the community to expect increased police activity in the North Holden area as they conducted their search. The LPSO also requested the public’s assistance in locating McDonald, asking anyone with information to contact them.

Thankfully, McDonald was found safe just minutes after the Sheriff’s Office issued the missing person alert. The news of her safe return was met with relief and gratitude from the community.

Manda Betts Sullivan shared on Facebook, "Already found and safe!! Within 20 minutes of posting!" Others expressed similar relief, with comments such as, "Glad she has been located," from Renee McClure Rochester, and "She has been found," from Luther Crayton.

Despite the relief, the incident highlights the ongoing challenges faced by families caring for loved ones with dementia. Jessica Jane commented, "47 and Dementia? Wow. That’s horrible. Praying she is found very soon and in good shape!" while Amanda Boquet Efferson noted, "Hasn’t she gone missing before as well? Prayers she is found safe."

The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office expressed their appreciation for the community’s prompt attention and assistance in locating Victoria McDonald.
