I’ve received many calls today and yes, Tonya was indeed in one of the cars involved in the accident on Interstate 64 near the opening of the HRBT. I am truly devastated, I can’t believe this happened, and will miss my friend every day. God Bless You Tonya! You will always be loved!"

Tia emphasized the importance of this cause, stating, "We are taking donations to assist in the homegoing services for Tonya. This cause is very important because she was very important. We want to send her off right."

Tonya Hinkle’s legacy as a public servant, both in law enforcement and education, has left a lasting impact on those who had the privilege of knowing her. The Virginia community continues to mourn her loss, remembering her as a loving, caring, and compassionate individual who dedicated her life to serving others.
