Wichita Community on Alert as 14-Year-Old Issela Lopez Reported Missing

Wichita, Kansas – The Wichita Police Department is urgently seeking the public’s help in locating Issela Lopez, a 14-year-old girl who has gone missing. Issela was last seen around 1:00 a.m. near the 5800 block of E 22nd St North, close to 21st and Woodlawn.

Issela is described as being 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing approximately 150 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. When she was last seen, Issela was wearing a gray hoodie and blue jeans.

Concerns for Issela’s safety are growing as her family, friends, and the community rally together to find her. Several individuals have taken to Facebook to express their concern and hope for her safe return.

Courtney Colquhoun Wade posted, "Sister, I need you to be safe." Rey Contreras shared a potential sighting, stating, "I thought I saw her last night at Alondras Tacos around midnight!" Shannon Chaplain Chez expressed her appreciation for the efforts of the authorities, saying, "Praying for WPD and DCF! I appreciate the work you all do to protect."

Others, like Andrea Bekemeyer, urged Issela to return home, posting, "Get home to your momma," while Barbara Doramus simply wrote, "Please find safe." The community’s support has also been evident, with Lesley Lemons mentioning that the information has been shared on "806 Area Missing Children & Adults."

Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding Issela Lopez’s whereabouts to contact the Wichita Police Department immediately by calling 911. The police and Issela’s family are hoping for her swift and safe return.
