Wichita Community Urged to Help Find Missing Man, Eric Marko; Last Seen on August 1

Eric Marko, a 36-year-old resident of Wichita, Kansas, has been missing since Thursday, August 1, 2024. According to state records, Marko is described as 5’11” tall, weighing 150 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. His disappearance has sparked concern among friends, family, and the local community, prompting an urgent call for assistance in locating him.

The Wichita Police Department and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) are actively seeking information that could lead to Eric Marko’s whereabouts. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Wichita Police at (316) 268-4111 or the KBI at (785) 296-4017.

Annette Lawless, a friend of Marko, has been actively sharing updates on social media to raise awareness about his disappearance. In a Facebook post on August 7, 2024, she shared additional photos provided by Marko’s family, hoping to aid in the search. Lawless expressed her confusion over some posts being removed, noting, "I’m trying to figure out why some people are getting this post removed. If anyone can give me insight, that would be great."

Community members have also shown their support through prayers and shared concerns on Facebook. Shari Cox, another concerned individual, posted, "Praying he’s found safe." Christina Cook and Phyllis Lawson VonAchen also mentioned issues with sharing the post, highlighting the challenges faced in spreading the word about Marko’s disappearance.

As the search continues, the Wichita community is coming together, hoping for a safe return of Eric Marko. The ongoing efforts underscore the importance of collective vigilance in locating missing persons.
