According to Connecticut State Police, the accident happened around 8:15 PM when Perry attempted to cross the street in a marked crosswalk against the pedestrian traffic signal. The vehicle involved, a Subaru Impreza driven by 20-year-old Tyler Aubin from Brooklyn, was traveling westbound on Route 6. As Aubin approached the intersection, he reportedly did not see Perry, resulting in a fatal collision.
