Ximena Navarro and Raelyn Schultz, two beloved teens from the area, were involved in the incident that has left their families and friends in deep sorrow.

Nine-year-old Raelyn Schultz of Alpha, Iowa, fought bravely in the intensive care unit following the accident. Despite the tireless efforts of medical professionals and the overwhelming hopes and prayers of her family, Raelyn succumbed to her injuries, leaving a profound sense of loss in the community. Her father, Darrick Schultz, expressed his grief in a poignant statement, saying, "My heart is broken. Our dear Raelyn has gained her wings and is now safely and peacefully in heaven."

Raelyn’s passing has devastated those who knew her. Her father further shared, "She touched the lives and hearts of so many people, and for that, I am incredibly grateful. Permit her contagious laughter and love to endure through you, please."

In a parallel tragedy, Ximena Navarro was also severely affected by the same incident. She was airlifted to LaCrosse on Sunday night and remains in critical condition. The Navarro family, supported by the community, is holding on to hope as Ximena continues to fight for her life. A social media post by the family expressed their gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time.
